This weekend (07/28-29) Nederland is having their annual town fair; "Nederland Old Timers Miners Days", and the Libertarian party of Boulder County will be hosting an outreach booth there. I apologize for the short notice, but I just today got the last of the necessary details.
As the Chairman of the LPBC, I made a pledge to the county party that within my tenure, I would do everything within my power to more than double the county membership, and increase the county registered Libertarian voter list by 50%. This task is not going to be easy, but we are libertarians, if we wanted the easy way out, we'd become R's or D's! To meet this goal, we are going to need to increase our outreach with participation is shows, festivals, and fairs such as this one. So, I need your help. I have been boasting that the Boulder County is the best affiliate in the state, and to prove it, I said that we can hit this goal. Will you help prove me right... or do nothing and let us be proven wrong?
The festival booth time will be broken up into time slots, much like we try to do at most shows to make it an enjoyable experience, and not a chore. The festival looks to be fun with a pig roast, parade, street dance, live music, etc.. so plan to enjoy the festival either before or after your appointed shift. If you get the answering machine, simply leave your name, time slot you'd like to work, a phone number, and an e-mail address, and I'll do the rest. If you have never worked one of our outreach booths in the past, no problem, just let me know, and I'll schedule you on with a seasoned pro.
We currently have no dues paying members in Nederland, and only 16 registered Libertarians there - let's work together and fix that.
